About the Play:

Marking the 150th anniversary of Elgar’s birth, Elgar and Alice is a gripping drama that transports us to 1920. As we are taken back in time, we have a compelling glimpse into the lives of Sir Edward Elgar, his wife, Alice, and his mistress ‘Windflower’.

Set in their comfortable home in Hampstead, the play delves into a marriage that was anything but conventional, yet inspired a great composer to create some of the most iconic English music of the twentieth century.

Every ticket purchased helps us ensure that no one in Hertfordshire has to face a mental health problem alone.

Emma, Fundraising and Communications Officer says

We invite everyone to join us for a wonderful evening of theatre, knowing that their attendance contributes directly to making a difference in your local community.”
